Parterre Privacy Policy
What stays on your device
Your progress (levels, petals, streak, garden decorations and settings) is saved only on your device. Daily reminders are scheduled on your device and send nothing anywhere. A share card is made only when you tap Share, and goes only to the app you pick. Parterre has no accounts and never asks for your name, email, contacts, photos or precise location.
Ads (Google AdMob)
Parterre is free and shows ads between levels, plus optional video ads you choose to watch for a reward. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google's ad service collects your IP address (which gives an approximate location), your device's advertising ID and app set ID, how you interact with ads and the app (launches, taps, video views), and performance information. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland you are asked first whether ads may be personalized; in US states with privacy laws you can opt out. You can change your choices at any time in Parterre's Settings under Privacy choices, and reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Android settings. On iPhone and iPad, Apple asks first whether Parterre may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA); if you say no, it is not used, and you can change this any time in iOS Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking.
Gameplay statistics and crash reports (Google Firebase), only with your consent
If you agree, Parterre sends Google Firebase anonymous gameplay events (level started, finished or failed, hints used, ads watched, streak saved, with level numbers, times and hint and mistake counts), a random installation ID, and device details (model, Android or iOS version, language, country and time zone). If the app crashes, a crash report with technical details is sent. Parterre also downloads game settings, such as how often ads appear, from Firebase. We use this to fix bugs and make levels better. Firebase data is never used for advertising. If you don't agree, none of it is collected and the game uses its built-in settings.
The daily boards (Google Firebase)
When you finish the day's Daily Garden, Parterre posts your time, mistakes and hints for that puzzle to Google Firebase; and each time you finish a garden, it posts the number of petals you have earned that day for the petals board. Both go with a nickname the game makes up for you (such as "Bright Tulip 12") and a random anonymous account ID, so other players can see them on that day's boards. Parterre never sends your name, email or any other details for the board, and nobody can type a name. The Garden Club members on the board are characters of the game, not real players. Board entries are kept so past days' boards still work; email us your nickname and we will delete your entries. Development and test builds never post to the board.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell your data. Data goes only to Google as our ad, analytics and daily board provider, under Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services. All of it is encrypted in transit.
How long it is kept
Analytics data is kept for 2 months and crash reports for 90 days, then deleted. Progress on your device stays until you uninstall Parterre or use Reset all progress in Settings.
Children
Parterre is meant for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children.
Your choices and requests
Withdraw or change consent any time in Settings, Privacy choices. Because Parterre has no accounts, we can't look you up by name; to ask about or delete data, email support@nitroedgestudios.com and we will help using the information Google holds for your installation.
Changes
We'll update this page and its date when the game's data use changes.
